peacefully at home in Hana surrounded by family on Thursday, July 14, 2016 after a long illness. Mark was born in Fontana, California on April 28, 1952 and moved to Maui in 1969.
Mark was a surfer in his younger years and a well known Boat Captain and Commercial Fisherman. Mark was very instrumental in the State of Hawaii Fish Aggregating Device System (FADS).
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to be announced.
Mark is survived by his wife, Haunani Fredholm; daughter, Malia Ann (Kamu) Collins-Furhmann; son, Matthew Keola Collins; grandsons, Kanoa and Ola; granddaughter, ‘Ale’a; brothers, Michael (Alma) Collins and Timothy Collins.
