Visitation will be held at Saint Rita’s Catholic Church in Haiku on May 1, 2015 from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Mass at 11:30 a.m., and burial to follow at the Veteran’s Cemetery in Makawao at 1 p.m.
Genevieve retired from Kula Hospital.
She is survived by her daughters, Deborah Gouveia, Brenda (Karl) Calleon, Monica (Duane) Nakahashi, and Angela (Walter) Kan Hai; brothers, Alvin Ornellas, Robert (Matsu) Ornellas, and Donald (Carol) Ornellas; 7 grandchildren, Karlie, Christy, Christopher, Kimberly, Kasie, Kaeo, and Austin; 7 great-grandchildren, Manaia, Masina, A’ali’i, Jaely, Isabella, Sophia, and Keawe Shoji Don.
Genevieve was pre-deceased by her husband, Gilbert Gouveia; and grandson, Don Gilbert Calleon.
