Mary Helen Ivey, 85, of Kihei, Maui; passed away on December 27, 2014 at her residence under the care of Hospice Maui. She was born on September 2, 1929 in Honolulu, Hawaii. She worked as an Elementary School Teacher, and founded all volunteer Kihei Community Library.
Family and Friends will be gathering at the residence on Sunday, January 4th, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.; 1690 Alaniu Place, Kihei.
Mary Helen is survived by her children, Thomas Ivey, John Ivey, Elizabeth Ann Ivey, Janice (Robert) Hinely; 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations may be made in her name to the Maui Friends of the Library.
