Masaji Mitsumura

Masaji "Danny" Mitsumura, 78 of Kula, passed away on October 22, at his home with his family at his side. He was born on April 25, 1933, in Kula. Danny was a Master Carpenter & a perfectionist in his work which included Hicks construction, and an Inspector with the County of Maui. Danny was always willing to help his friends & family. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening, playing his guitar, and raising his ducks & chickens. Danny's family was always around him, and he enjoyed laughing with them all. Danny was a loving husband, father, grandfather & great-grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Louise "Hanicky" Mitsumura; sons Daniel M. Mitsumura, Don (Fran Peart) Mitsumura, Ronald Mitsumura, Mike (Sheila) Mitsumura, Randy Mitsumura; daughter, Danette Mitsumura; grandchildren, Chris (Jodi) Mitsumura, Lisa (Butch) Maio, Colleen (David) Kennedy, Daneen Mitsumura, Mandy Silva, Jake Mitsumura, Christy (Rob) Ramirez, Lana Mitsumura, Chase Mitsumura; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Masako Krepky, Marian Pharr, Masayo Kimura; and brother, Yoshiyuku Mitsumura. Danny was one of a kind and touched many hearts along the way. He was very much loved by his family and friends. He will be greatly missed.
