Matthew Roberts

Matthew Kawika Roberts, 43, of Kula passed away on September 21, 2018 at Maui Memorial Medical Center. He was born on June 3, 1975 in Wailuku. Matt attended Doris Todd Memorial Christian School, Maui High and UH Maui College. Matt’s passion was operating heavy equipment. He especially enjoyed operating backhoes.

Over the past four years, Matt and his wife Tiffany spent a significant time in Houston, TX. They met wonderful people from all over. Matt especially loved talking and praying with people. Matt’s faith in God and love from family and friends meant so much to him. Matt also had a contagious smile that will always be remembered.

Matt is survived by his wife, Tiffany Roberts; parents, Dave and Terrie Roberts; godson, Kawika Uwekoolani; parents, Dave and Terrie Roberts; sister, Malia (Todd) Nordman; nieces, Taylor, Ashlyn and Jayden; grandmothers, Jackie Prouty and Nancy Roberts as well as many uncles, aunties and cousins.

The family would like to thank all those that supported Matt with prayers and blessings including Grace church and the staff at MD Anderson and Maui Memorial Medical Center.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Ballard Family Mortuary in Kahului on Friday, November 9, 2018. Service will begin at 7 p.m with reception to follow.
