Maxine was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho on the 25th of November 1929. The family then moved to Pocatello, Idaho, and finally settled in Burley, Idaho where she attended school and graduated from the Burley High School in 1948. She was preceded in death by her parents, Loren and Virginia Nichols, one sister, Gloria Tolleson, and her brother Loren Nichols Jr. She met and dated Lowell Hanks; they were married on the 28th of April 1953. Her life was devoted to her family, Rick, Mark, Greg, Kyle Hanks and LoaLee Reyes. She took in any body that was in need and was always willing to give a helping hand to those in need. She was a devoted mother and member of the LDS church and held many position as she was called. She is survived by 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Pukalani from 9:30 am, service to begin at 11 am and burial to follow at 1 pm at the Maui Veterans Cemetery.
