Mele Tangikiama Pulu, 57, of Lihue, died on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at her residence in Lihue. Mrs. Pulu was born on May 10, 1953 in Malapo, Tonga. She was a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Hawaii and Tonga. She is survived by her husband, Sosaia Viliami Pulu of Kauai; children, Luisa (Aleli) Aleli of Maui, Fehikitaki (Salesi) Maile of Kauai and Sione F. (Dorian) Pulu of Texas; grandchildren, Vaivevea L. Pulu, Beatrice T. Pulu and Sosaia V. Pulu Jr.; brothers, Samuela (Latu) Hafoka, Siale (Matafolau) Hafoka, Takapautolo (Seletute) Hafoka, Sioele (Malia) Hafoka, Sione Vaikoula (Norma) Hafoka, and Semisi (Nanise) Hafoka; sister, Sesi (Lopeti) Oufiu; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation: Visitation will begin 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday, August 27, 2010 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Lahaina- Ward 2. Visitation will continue 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at the church.
Interment: Burial will follow 10:30 a.m. at the Maui Memorial Park.
