Michael is survived by wife Julia Schumann-Shinsky of Big Island, HI; daughters, Vera Shinsky of Mountain View, CA, Sarah Shinsky of Santa Cruz, CA, Deanna Shinsky of Los Altos, CA, two grandchildren, and two nephews.
