

Nelson A Boteilho Sr. (91) passed away peacefully on November 7, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family.Nelson was born on January 26, 1932 in Paia, Maui. He was the last of ten children born to Frank and Janet Boteilho. Nelson graduated from St. Anthony Catholic School in 1950. Shortly after he met his bride, Ann Cleo Yamashita. The 2 were married in 1952 and had 5 boys. November 15, would be their 71st wedding anniversary.
This wonderful man is survived by his loving wife, Ann Cleo Boteilho, his sons; Daniel (Donna) Boteilho, Carl (Georgiana) Boteilho, Patrick (Charlotte) Boteilho. Granddaughters; Tiffany (Vitale) So'oto, Stephanie (Elias) Garcia, Desiree (Anthony) Paldino, Cassie Boteilho, Anela "Tita" Boteilho, Allison Boteilho, Ashley Caberto. Grandsons; Dustin Boteilho, Nelson III "Moki" Boteilho, Jason (Aukai) Boteilho, Jacob (Patti) Boteilho, Benjamin (Rose) Boteilho. 16 great-grandchildren. Daughter in-laws; Grace Boteilho (Nelson Jr), Donna Boteilho (Gary). Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Sister in-law Elizabeth Varrano.
He was predeceased by his sons; Nelson Boteilho Jr (Barbone) and Gary Boteilho, Parents Frank and Janet Boteilho. Siblings; Frank, George, Lucille, Alfred, Helen, Edward, Walter, Bessie and Rosaline.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at St. Joseph Church in Makawao. Funeral services will begin at 9 a.m. followed by Mass beginning at 11 a.m. A short period for visitation will be continued from 12-12:30 p.m.
The family would like to express a heartfelt gratitude to their family and friends for all the support, kind words and prayers.
He was an Exceptional Man with a Generous Heart and was loved by everyone who had a chance to know him.
He will be Remembered and Missed by Many.
