Patricia A. Avery, formerly Patricia Schattenburg, age 83, of Kahului, Maui passed away on Februray 1st at Roselani Place under Hospice Maui care. She was born December 8, 1932 in San Mateo, California.
Pat was a retired Membership Coordinator for Hawaiʻi Public Radio. She served on a variety of Boards including the Friends of Lyon Arboretum, and Mālama O Mānoa.
She loved and appreciated nature, and enjoyed gardening, traveling and sewing.
She is survived by her children: Mark (Jamie) Schattenburg, Lisa (Kīʻope) Schattenburg-Raymond, Richard (Pua) Schattenburg, and Aaron (Lorraine) Schattenburg, grandchildren, Ben, Zoe, Olivia, Lisha, Tasha, Jake, Kuaola, Kaleʻa and Emily. Great-grandchildren Jeiva, Caleb, Ezra and Shayla.
Her sisters, Alice Morison, Kate Ames, and brother Tom Ames. Predeceased by brother Rick (Julie) Ames
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Roselani Place for her excellent care for the five years she resided there, and to Hospice Maui for the end of life care.
