He was born on February 21, 1944 in the Philippines.
Rey is survived by his daughter, Maile (Jon) Viela, daughter in law, Carly Werner and predeceased by his son, Jess Ridao; 4 grandchildren, Jrae Viela,Jrew Kupono Viela (predeceased), Jai Viela and Chance Ridao.
Rey is also survived by his 3 sisters, Pressie (Linwood) Beckett, Elizabeth (Adrian) Sakamoto and Julie (Nelvin) Ruiz; and their children, Larnette, Lonnie(predeceased) & Lance Winston, Lane, Adree & Lindy Sakamoto, and Mark (predeceased), Matthew, Mikey & Jasmine Ruiz and numerous grand/great-grand nieces and nephews.
His celebration of life will be held on Monday, March 18, 2024 at St. Anthony Church. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am to 10:30 am, the eulogy at10:45 and mass to follow at 11:00 am. The family is requesting no flowers.
