Romeo Garcia

Romeo Asuncion Garcia, 74, of Lahaina, passed away on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at the Maui Memorial Medical Center. He was born on December 8, 1936 in Cabugao, Ilocos Sur, Philippines. He was a retired truck driver with Pioneer Mill Company in Lahaina. He is survived by his wife, Mely C. Garcia; a son, Romeo Garcia Jr. (deceased),; two daughters, Cheryl Benson and Cathy (Wally Rickard) Garcia; two brothers, Bonifacio Garcia and Ernesto (Rosita) Garcia; two sisters, Soccoro "Coring" (Domingo) Serna and Lydia (Nelson) Saribay; six grandchildren, Kaiyana Miyaki, Bobby Benson, Cierra Rickard, Lucas Rickard, Marky Benson, Jade Rickard; amd his beloved pets, Kona (deceased) and Ana.

Visitation: Family and friends are invited to gather for funeral services on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Maria Lanakila Catholic Church in Lahaina. Visitation will begin 6 p.m. to9 p.m. A final viewing will be held on Friday, March 11, 2011 at the church from 8:30 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.

Services: Mass at 7:30 p.m.

Interment: Burial will follow 10:30 a.m. at Maui Memorial Park- Garden of Meditation in Wailuku.
