

Ronald Patrick "Jojo" Chong Kee, of Kula, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2025 at home, under the care of Hospice Maui, surrounded by his family.
"Jojo" was born in Lahaina on January 21, 1938 to William Chong Kee and Rebecca Mokihana Cockett and raised in Paia by his beloved grandparents Choy Yong Kee and Jacintha Silva Amorin.
Survived by his wife and best friend of 44 years, Jonie Chong Kee;his children - Derick Kimo (Mona) Chong Kee, Jodi (George) Apduhan, Ronald Moki (Kelly) Chong Kee, and Matthew Ikaika (Jessica) Chong Kee; stepsons - William (Ronnette) Nipp IV, Sean (Rona) Nipp, James (Shayna) Nipp; his grandchildren - Jesse (Renee) Chong Kee, Kasey (Alfred) Gouveia, Trysha (Christopher) Bodden, Jordan Apduhan, William (Alia) Nipp V, Matthew "Kaika Boy" Chong Kee (predeceased), Mei Ling "Lana" (Kahiau) Luat-Hueu, and Jonie Ikaika "Bubba" Chong Kee; along with his 21 great-grandchildren. Jojo is also survived by his siblings - Dennis (predeceased); Suzanne) Chong Kee, Jerilyn Jeffreys, Celyn Chong Kee, Kevin (Roberta) Chong Kee, Kalai Aluli Teves, Pia Aluli, Hayden Aluli, Webster Aluli; Predeceased by brothers Noa Emmett Aluli, and Noa Kekahu Aluli.
A private Memorial will be held at a later date.
