

Scott Andrew Donovan passed away peacefully at home with his wife Lynn and brother Matthew under Hospice Maui Care on March 29th, 2021. Scott is survived by his wife Lynn (of 33 years) brother, Matthew Donovan, Vivian Donovan (sister-in-law) Matthew Donovan Jr. (nephew) Amanda Donovan (niece) Beverly Bethell (sister-in-law), JoAnn Bethell Pantuso (sister-in-law), Chris Pantuso (brother-in-law), Dot (aunt), Don Cummings (uncle), Rachel Blakeney (cousin), Dean Marriot (cousin), Oliver (cousin son) along with many loved ones, including his Maui Ohana and lifelong friends.
Scott was known for his good character. People saw him as dependable and trustworthy. He served for 22 years as a Clarkstown Police Officer, Badge 121. He was a Valley Cottage volunteer Firefighter for 18 years and recognized as a skilled Sharpshooter within the United States Army, C 3rd BN. 1T BDE. Scott and Lynn married in May of 1988. In 2000, they relocated to Lahaina, Maui where Scott was able to spend the remainder of his life, living out his dream. He spent his time enjoying ocean views, delicious meals and time with people from all walks of life. His closest friends knew him as a strong willed, charming and a funny storyteller. He lived a life full of love, accomplishment and personal satisfaction, that many of us could only hope to obtain.
A “Celebration of Life” will be determined at a later date, when Covid-19 permits. At that time, Scotts ashes will be spread into the West Maui Ocean and a portion of him will be forever preserved at the Maui Veterans Cemetery.
