Sharky Masaji Ikeda passed peacefully in the early morning hours of October 13,2026 at Maui Memorial Hospital.
He was born April 26.1971 to Sheila Pascua and Sharky Ikeda in Mercy hospital in Merced, California. He started kindergarten at Kadena Air Base, Okinawa and first grade at Clark Air Base, Philippines. Second grade started at Kahului school on Maui where after the first day he said everybody looks like me…so different from the prior classes with so many different ethnic kids! He went on to graduate from Maui High School class of 1989.
During those years he got into judo taught by his Pascua grandfather. Little league came next gladly supported by his Cockett grandparents. Cub scouts also with his mother as Cub Master. He also played golf on the Maui High School team. He had the ability to succeed in anything that he put his mind to even passing his math tests without studying the night before!
Throughout his life he had many jobs as a delivery person for Kahului florist, salesperson at Ron’s Auto parts, painter for Pacific Painting and lastly self employed for his company S.I. Painting.
