Sharon Myrl Gomes

July 8, 1943 – September 18, 2026

Sharon Myrl Gomes was born on July 8, 1943, to the late David and Martha Medeiros. She passed away peacefully on September 18, 2026, at Hospice Maui, surrounded by the love of her family.

Sharon was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend and cousin. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Clarence Gomes; her children, Jim (Michele) Gomes, Clarice (Rick) Ranis, and David Gomes (Susan Arnel).

Her grandchildren are Ashley Gomes, Matthew (Kylie) Ranis, Nicole Gomes, Jamie Gomes (Tyler Lee), and Andrew Gomes.

Her great-grandchildren are Kanoa and Dune, along with her beloved fur baby, Makana.

Sharon was the owner of SG Rentals until her retirement. She loved to travel and, most of all, enjoyed spending time with her family.

The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the Maui Memorial Medical Center Emergency Room and all the nursing staff who cared for her; Hospice Maui; the staff at Hale Makua; Dr. Gregory Parks and his staff; and the home care services provided by Bayada and Island Hospice.

A memorial Mass will be held at St. Anthony Church, located at 1627 Mill Street, Wailuku, Maui, on Saturday, December 12, 2026. Viewing will be at 9:00 a.m., followed by Mass at 11:00 a.m.
