Shelly Malia Kan-Hai passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 surrounded by her family. Shelly was born on February 4, 1980 in Wailuku, she was 44 years old. She graduated from Maui High School in 1998 and went on to graduate from Heald Business College on Oahu. Shelly worked for the County of Maui planning department and was a member of the Kiwani's Club and also volunteered with Feed My Sheep. Shelly is survived by her mom and dad, Joslyn and Mark Minobe, her father, Isaac Kan-Hai, her boyfriend, Jonah Souza, daughter, Zadie Souza, hanai son, Laioha Souza, 3 brothers, Shawn (Kamaka) Kan-Hai, Mickey Minobe and Mahi (Jasmine) Kan-Hai and 2 sisters, Mei-Liane (Stanley) Kan-Hai and Candice (Mahi) Kawano. She also leaves behind numerous nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
