Mele was a State House Representative for District 13; East Maui, Molokai, Lana’I, Kaho’olawe and Molokini.
Honolulu services will be held on Friday, March 6, 2015 with visitation to begin at 4:00 p.m. at Maunakea/Vineyard Chapel, Borthwick Mortuary 1330 Maunakea St. Honolulu, Hawaii 96817; service will begin at 6:00 p.m.
Second visitations will be held in Maui on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at Ballard Family Mortuary from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with service to begin at 11:00 a.m.; burial to follow at Valley Isle Memorial Park in Haiku at 3:30 p.m.
She is survived by her husband, Warren K. Carroll; daughter, Kai’ulani Angel; mother, Magnolia “Maggie” Soares; brothers, Wayne and Jason Soares; sisters, Rosalynn Nuuanu and Kahealani Soares. Family request casual attire.
