Teresita Arafiles, 82, of Wailuku, Maui, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2025. Born on April 10, 1943, in the Philippines to the late Marciano and Rosario De Mesa, Teresita lived a life rooted in faith, family, and service to others.
A devoted wife to the late Magno Arafiles, Teresita was the beloved mother of Felipe (Angelina) Arafiles, Joselito Arafiles, and Jaime (Josephine) Arafiles. She was a proud grandmother to Andrew (Lyn), Marietta (Travis), Maui (Kiani), Margot (Mark), Jonalyn (Anson), Jacklyn, Juliet, and Philip Angelo, and a cherished great-grandmother to Travis Jt., Arabelle, Arrietty, Kale'a, Nikolai, AJ, Caleb, Julius, J-Lo, Jack Lorence, LJ Lorraine, and Lebraine J.
Teresita was a dedicated and familiar face at Pukalani Foodland, where she worked for many years as a courtesy clerk. Her warm smile and kind spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew her. A woman of deep Catholic faith, she lived each day with grace, humility, and love for her community and her family.
She is survived by her sister, Alice Balite, and brothers Eduardo De Mesa, Cesar De Mesa, and Marciano De Mesa Jr.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Ballard Family Mortuary, where family and friends are invited to honor and remember her beautiful life.
She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
