Thomas Condry, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home in Paia, Maui, on July 19, 2025. He was 70 years old.
Born on November 20, 1954, in Honolulu, Thomas lived a life full of love, laughter, and the spirit of aloha. He was known for his generous heart, sense of humor, and his deep connection to the ocean. Whether he was swimming, fishing, throwing net, or boogie boarding at Sandy’s, Tom felt most at home in the water.
He was a devoted husband to Wendy Condry, his loving partner in life. He is survived by his cherished daughter, Nicole Vreeland, and his adored granddaughter, Kaila Vreeland, who brought immense joy and pride to his life. He also leaves behind his brothers Albert and John Condry, and his beloved fur baby, Bella.
Thomas was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Constance Condry, as well as his siblings Paul Condry, Robert Condry, Francis Condry and his only sister, Jere Jackson.
For over 40 years, he has dedicated himself to the craft of masonry, shaping stone and brick with the same care and precision he brings to his family life. As a devoted husband, proud father, and loving grandfather, he has built more than just walls—he has laid the foundation for generations. His strength and reliability are not only evident in his work but in the steady support he offers as a son and brother. Through decades of hard labor and unwavering commitment, he has become a pillar in both his trade and his family, earning the respect of all who know him.
He was a passionate Seattle Seahawks fan through and through, proudly wearing the blue and green no matter the season. From cheering from his favorite chair at home, he never missed a game and knew every player, every stat, and every comeback story. His love for the team brought joy, excitement, and a little bit of good-natured rivalry to family gatherings. Being a 12th Man wasn’t just a hobby—it was a part of who he was.
He lived his life with the warmth and spirit of the islands, embracing each day with aloha and kindness. From the sound of the waves to the beauty of the sunsets, he found peace and meaning in the land and the culture he loved so deeply. Though he has passed, his presence will always be felt in the breeze, the ocean, and the hearts of those who knew him.
