She started school in Lahaina at Sacred Hearts School for few years before transferred to King Kamehameha III Elementary School. She was raised in a very loving home with Tongan cultures where she was cherished and adored by family members who surrounded her. She was the sweetest, cutest, curious little girl with head full of Fijian/Tongan ringlet curls who grew up into such a beautiful, loving, kind and affectionate young lady. She loved “Lilo and Stitch” movie the most because it reminded her so much of her birthplace.
Pou moved to Ohio with her mother and siblings where she continue her school journey until she graduated from Toledo Early College. She travelled between Ohio and Hawaii every school summer break to spend time with her father and her youngest siblings. She was a sassy kind of girl who could make new friends so fast, or light up the room with her sense of humors or someone to count on when help needed. She worked at Lane Bryant and then Toledo Hospital until her last breath. She would put her all into her job, her family and the people who loved her.
Pou’s goal was to become a nurse to help others and she was perfectly suited for that job. Anyone who knew her did know she would make an incredible career. Her confidence, determination, kindness and compassion personalities would take her far in life and would make all her wishes come true. She was a big dreamer, she had dreamt of moving back to Maui and serve the community.
Tupou is proceeded in death by her grandma, her namesake, Tupou Taise Folaumoeloa Leone who would greet her with a big bear hug after 30 long years of waiting to finally meet her grandchild in the other side.
