Vanessa & Narciso “Ciso” Baylosis Jr.

Vanessa was born and raised on Maui. She attended Lahainaluna High School, graduating in 1973.

Ciso was born in Honolulu, raised on Maui. He attended Maui High School, graduating in 1974.

Vanessa and Ciso were married in May 1979 after meeting when they were employed at the Napili Kai Beach Resort. Vanessa became a mother soon after and raised their three children. Ciso worked at Aston Kaanapali Shores until March 2021, when he retired.

They were avid bowlers and participated as part of a bowling league on Sunday mornings and Tuesday evenings. They would frequently travel to Las Vegas for tournaments and leisure. Also, they cherished their time spent with their grandsons.

They are survived by their children: daughter, Amanda Baylosis; sons, Vincent Baylosis & Joshua (Heather) Baylosis; their grandsons: Kailana, Cruz, & Haze Lee; Vanessa’s sister Lorraine (James) Robinson; brothers: Glen (Estelle) Catugal, Nelson (Faith) Ompoy, Denley (Tracy) Ompoy, & Thomas Ompoy; Ciso’s sisters: Doreen Karginov, Charla Baylosis, Gina Gillstrom, and Iris Baylosis and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Vanessa was predeceased by her parents; Maximo & Encarnation Ompoy as well as her three brothers: James Catugal, Melvin Catugal, & Maximo Ompoy Jr.

Ciso was predeceased by his father Narciso Baylosis Sr. and mother Dorothy Fukutomi.

The Ballard Mortuary will host services on Sunday, December 17, 2023. Visitation begins at 4:00pm, services commence at 5:00pm, and by a Celebration of Life reception will follow immediately.
