Vilumbria Tomas Bamocena, 88 of Kahului, Maui, passed away on August 6, 2026, under the care of Hospice Maui, with family at her side. She was born on November 18, 1937 in the Philippines.
Visitation will be held from 6-9pm on Friday, September 11, 2026 at Ballard Family Mortuary; services will start at 7pm. Visitation will continue Saturday, September 12, 2026 from 9-11am; services to start at 11am with burial to follow, 2pm at Valley Isle Memorial Park in Haiku.
Vilumbria loved cooking, shopping and most of all, taking care of her grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Placido. She is survived by her children, Gil Balmocena (Evangeline), Evangeline Obina (Camilo), Maribel Balmocena, Edgar Balmocena (Norma), Rowen Balmocena (Loly); a sister, Emily Obina (Rodolfo); 15 grandchildren, Venus, Kristine Joy, Apple, Karen, Lindsay, April, Ruth, John, Chantell, Mark Francis, Abigail, Chelsay, Nicole, Ruby, Erika, Courtney; 11 great grandchildren, Jhollyanne Kai, Aiden Jazrel, Sydrille Love, Zariah Jazleen, David Jaedon, Janeah, Aisiah, Dylan, Yohan Kyro, Elliana Noelle, Aime Sofia, Yuna Amari; and 2 nephews, Edgar and Junior.
