Wally was pre-deceased by his father, Samuel Akuna, brother, John Akuna, and sister, Winona Puaoi. He is survived by his mother, Winona Wong; sons, Wallace Akuna Jr. and Bronson (Beth McComb) Akuna; daughter, Danyel (Lyman) Panui; brothers, Sam (Pamela) Akuna, Lincoln (Lori) Akuna, George Akuna, and Collins (Pauhi) Akuna; grandchildren, Dylan, Aubree and Averee Panui, and Kingston and Marleigh Akuna.
Wally moved to Maui 30 years ago and worked for Timeshare Resales Hawaii. He enjoyed spending time with his family and extended family at S Turns and enjoyed singing, cooking and playing his slack key guitar.
Wally was larger than life and the life of the party wherever he went and will be deeply missed.
Due to Covid restrictions, we will have an intimate Celebration of Life on March 14, 2021.
