Anita was born July 10, 1950 to Sherman D. Cothern and Inice F Bowen Cothern in Jonesboro, AR.
She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings Betty, Tony and Margie. She is survived by one brother Al, of Newport, AR and her niece Sheila A Cothern of Ocean View, HI and many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.
Anita was a maverick, earning a scholarship to the University of Missouri, graduating with a dual degree in chemistry and math. After seeing the practices in the chemical industry she quit, and started her own video production firm in Florida.
She loved golf, boating, scuba and felt her very best on the water.
Those wanting to honor her memory can donate to the Hospice of Kona who did such a great job caring for her in her final year in Hawaii. A small private service will be held in the future.
