Frank Masaru Mizoshiri, 94, of Captain Cook, Hawai‘i, passed away on September 5, 2026, in Captain Cook. He was born on April 1, 1932, in Kealakekua, Hawai‘i.
Frank served his country in the U.S. Army, later retired from Hawaiian Tel, and worked tirelessly on his Kona coffee farm. He was an avid golfer and fisherman, known as an expert at catching the elusive Mu.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Mizoshiri.
He is survived by his daughters, Adrienne Mizoshiri and Kimberly (Steve) Custode; his sons, Ron (Rika) Mizoshiri, Scott (Bernie) Mizoshiri, and Lance Mizoshiri; his sister, Kimie Mizoshiri of Kailua-Kona; and seven grandchildren.
He will be laid to rest at West Hawai‘i Veterans Cemetery in a private ceremony. A celebration of life will be held in his honor; the location and time will be announced 2 weeks prior.
