Phyllis Glean Sellens, 81, of Kailua Kona, Hawai‘i, passed away on June 16, 2025, in Kamuela. She was born on July 10, 1943 in Maryland. Phyllis worked as the Principal Broker for Phyllis G. Sellens & Company Real Estate Office.
She is survived by her husband Robert Bates of Kailua Kona, Hawai‘i, daughter Tamara Gouveia of Kona, Hawai’i; step daughters Renee (Vic) Tolentino of Kaneohe, Hawai’i; Roberta Bates of Kailua Kona, Hawai’i; Raquel Bates of Kailua Kona, Hawai’i; step son William Bates of Colorado; sister Pat (Darrel) Stewart of Johnson City, Tennessee; brothers Bob (Lola) Hannon of Koyuk, Alaska; Steve (Beth) Hannon of Glyndon, Maryland; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
