Born in Collingwood, Ontario on July 4th 1957 Bruce and family traveled to Abbotsford, British Columbia in 1969. Bruce was active in Sea Cadets as a teen and graduated from Abbotsford Senior Secondary in 1975. Bruce worked for Abbotsford Chrysler and became good friends with JR the owner at the time. He also was a volunteer fireman, before marrying and moved into driving a Taxi. Before his oldest child was born he shifted to working for Johnny's/Jack's Towing in the 1980's. Bruce took pride in every job he ever worked, But towing was always his favorite. It combined his love of driving and especially helping people. He literally put his blood, sweat, tears, and also about 4 or 5 hernia surgeries into the towing industry. When Bruce moved to Merritt after doing some more towing, he took a slightly less dangerous job of driving mail to different Post Offices in the area. No matter where Bruce went, he always left a very positive impression and a super long trail of terrible dad jokes. A wealth of random and sometimes useless information and comedy he never failed to make someone laugh or smile, even in his last moments he was laughing and joking with the Dr.s and nurses charged with making him comfortable. Family is extremely important to Bruce. Bruce is predeceased by his loving parents Jack and Donna, as well as many other loving family members. Bruce is survived by his sister Brenda, children Rebecca (Louie) and James, grandchildren Chloe, Marcus, and Naomi, two great-grandchildren, Katie and Baby G, as well as a plethora of good friends and co-workers throughout the years.
