It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Greta “Joan” Davies (nee Nettleton) of Kamloops on January 15, 2026.
Joan spent her early years in New Westminster where she met her first husband Bryan Mark. Joan worked at the Royal Bank in New Westminster and later in Kamloops. She was a longtime member of Beta Sigma Phi and the Kamloops United Church. Several years following Bryan’s death, she married her second husband, Don Davies.
Joan will be fondly remembered as a friendly, caring person with a radiant smile. During her life she enjoyed gardening, playing bridge, golfing and spending time with family and friends, especially at the family cabin “Mark Time” on Little Shuswap Lake.
Joan was predeceased by her husbands Bryan Mark and Don Davies, and her sister Doreen Nelson. She leaves her loving family: daughter Cheryl (Allan) Milton, son Rann (Monica) Mark, grandchildren Alison (Myles) Gregory, Lindsay Milton, Josh (Katelyn) Mark and Brock Mark, 6 great grandchildren, sisters Gerry Farbridge and Nancy Welsford, sister-in-law Karen Kirby and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by Don’s family: daughter Karen Davies, son Ken Davies and their families. We want to thank the wonderful caregivers at Kamloops Seniors Village for helping make her last few years brighter and happier.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Royal Inland Hospital Foundation.
