John Leahy and David Langevin should be remembered fir discovering the McAbee fossil beds, and oreservjngcabd floating many hundreds of gossips to local school and museums.  Of the nxny "scholarly" studies if McAbee, few give credit to John and David.

Your beautiful spirit will be missed, Dear John. We always appreciated how you spoke for what was right.

Just learned of the loss of John... my respected old friend, and colleague. He was always one to be admired as he made his own way in this world...never an imitator, always an honest, and direct original. He never compromised his strong beliefs or principles and found extra strength in difficult times.
Sincere condolences to Bernita and family.

Even thought I knew john only as the most helpful and brilliant teacher my son ever had.  My son has a cognitive disability and suffered a lot of 'less than' treatment in the school system but John , all but turned that around for my son.  He understood my sons brain and subsequent frustration and allowed and designed the math so my son could succeed.
