In Loving Memory of Arthur Joseph Martin

July 1, 1933 - January 8, 2021

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Arthur Martin. Art is survived by his loving wife, Barb: his children, Alain, Steve (Lucy), Michael (Jennie), Annette (Dave); six grandchildren (Dani, Alexis, Chelsea, Kenzie, Shelby, Merry) and four great-grandchildren (Claire, Leo, Brady, Taylor).

Art was born July 1, 1933, in Baie Ste. Anne, New Brunswick, and was one of eleven children. He slowly made his way west, living in Quebec and Ontario, before establishing roots in British Columbia . He worked as a sawfiler at various locations. Home was near Golden, British Columbia, for many years, before living and working at Adams Lake. He spent the last 23 years in Pritchard.

Art leaves behind and will be dearly missed by many friends and family across Canada. He loved his pets, Charlie, Bert, and Archie, being outdoors, playing crib, and making all the kids laugh.

Condolences can be sent to the family by visiting the Schoening Funeral Services site.

So sorry to hear of Art's passing. I worked with Art for many years in the filing room at Adam's Lake Lumber. We had a great group of guys and Art was one of those guys. He was a hard worker but he was also a great guy who loved to have fun. I enjoyed his great sense of humor and he always had us laughing and made work easier. He will be missed.
