Karen came from a large family of 11 children. Being the oldest daughter would explain why family was so important to her. She will be missed by her many brothers and sisters. Karen would always be prepared to celebrate those special occasions with many fond memories of birthdays and holidays. As a child Karen had moved around a lot and had many stories of these travels such as traveling across the country in the back of a pickup truck.
Karen loved to cook and bake with many fond memories from family and friends. How they looked forward to this when visiting her. Her happy, friendly manner and her smile touched many lives right to the end. Karen had a wonderful sense of humor and was a ready participant when the odd water fight or food fight broke out. She was also very competitive which was evident at the many card games with close friends, I am sure they are all waiting to deal you in! Karen, along with her husband James, had been active members with the Lions Club where they had many great memories and cherished the friends they had met along their journey.
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the staff of Kamloops Senior Village who made the last few years enjoyable.
