OBITUARY

Mason Robert BAILEY

March 1, 1998November 13, 2019

It is with heavy hearts we announce that Mason passed away suddenly at home on November 13, 2019 at the age of 21.

He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his parents, Linda and Randy, sister Sydney, extended family and friends.

Mason was a gentle, compassionate person who loved his family, friends, and pets. He was happiest outdoors, whether working in his garden, dirt biking with his Dad, snowboarding, or camping with his family. He did his best every day to get through his challenges, and will be remembered for his strength and resilience.

We will be celebrating Mason's life on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 11:30 am at The BC Wildlife Park (9077 Dallas Drive, Kamloops, BC). We invite all our family and friends to join us to remember and honour Mason. We will have food and beverages in a casual open house style. All guests are welcome to enjoy the park afterwards at your leisure.

If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association Kamloops or the SPCA.

Mason, your passing touches me more than you would probably know. You are my cousin's kid, a quiet guy I saw occasionally, but also someone in this family whom I know was loved deeply. You've touched a whole bunch of people in your time here, and they will always remember the way you made them feel. May you find rest and peace in your next life, as much as you're missed in this one.

My great nephew was a great young man who I loved very much. He was a quiet, shy young man who's smile melted your Heart. So many other qualities in his personality made him a gentle giant. I will miss you Mason, go in peace, Love Great Aunt June

I met Mason back in high school when we both ended up seeking mental help at the hospital.. Mason was the quiet kid with the brightest smile. We grew closer and remained in touch for a few years after we both continued to live on in life.. Mason had a heart of gold and words of softness. He always made sure everyone else was OK, and it saddens my heart to hear his battle got heavier rather than lighter. I hope you are resting easy wherever you are up there Mason, you will never be forgotten. RIP my friend.

I’m just gutted to hear this news. I dated Mason back in high school and stayed in touch with him through the years. He was such a compassionate, genuine guy. I knew he had his struggles but didn’t know it was to this extent. I wish I did more to help him. Mason, I hope you’re at peace wherever you are. Your smile and heart and everything about you will be missed, so so missed. I’m so sorry I couldn’t help you. Love you buddy ❤️

Oh mason. Thank you for being such a good friend growing up & making so many memories with me. Your dimples were my favourite, it made me happy to see your dimples so I always remember doing whatever I could to make you laugh- just so I could poke your dimples while you were laughing. It made my day everytime. We had many memorable times together, but your smile was definitely one of a kind. Rest easy friend💖
