To Pats family; Linda, Brent, and  Randy;
I had the honour of meeting your mother years ago when she brought a donation of household good for my charity on the Downtown Eastside.  We hit it off and over the years, she came many many times with goods and in those times, there were many wonderful visits.  Such a sweet, kind, lady. Her smile was always so uplifting.  Just the other day, I was packing the car and wondering when she would turn up again, and a few days later, read her obituary.  It stunned me as I was not aware that she was sick.  My sincere condolences to you all.  I will miss her visits and her encouragement.  Louise Edwards

Pat was our wonderful, friendly landlady from 1978 until 1981.  Linda, do you remember babysitting Kristy?  Your parents allowed us to live in the apartment for a year after she was born while we were building our house.  You were our first babysitter.  We could tell that you loved children as you were great with Kristy. Kristy now has a 13 month old daughter. I ran into your Mom many times over the years while out and about.  She always had a warm smile and we had a fun chat.  She was so proud of your accomplishments. Pat was always such a wonderful and happy person when she came into our office, always with a smile on her face, a real joy to speak to whether in our office or on the phone.  Pat, you definetly have left many happy memories with everyone that you touched through your life on this earth and will be missed by many friends and family.

Pat and I attended each others birthdays as very young children, I think beginning around 2 years of age. Our Mother's were friends and she and I spend many of our younger days in each others company. We grew up and our lives moved on but we did still cross paths on occasion and would exchange our family news. Pat was a very warm and caring person, always with a smile. I send my condolences to her family.

Ir was a privilege to know you, Pat. We looked forward to our visits every Christmas and shared talks Grandparent to Grandparent. Well I remember the many hockey games we enjoyed together watching our grandsons play hockey and cheering them on.  I especially remember the last Christmas we were together and the confidences we shared on Linda's sofa. We will miss you.

Pat, since you were my landlady in the '70s, and later my friend down the street, we've walked our dogs together, cross-country skied together, exchanged Christmas letters when we were provinces apart, and never lost touch.  That cheerful, upbeat, deeply kind personality continued to show through in your letters as it did in person.  Your letters also showed how much you were treasured by your family, in the joy they took in your company on trips together.  Every year you and I promised to get together "next year", and no matter how much I berate myself for missing those many lost opportunities, I still take comfort in the fact that I got to visit with you around 3 weeks ago.  Your smile and your caring for others had not diminished!  Bless you.

Pat, you where a delight to be around and certainly gone too soon. I will never forget the fun we had when you and Linda came down for the Olympics and we had VIP to Hospitality tent and you both enjoyed going to events. ie: Figure Skating
