Andrea Leimomi Cabanilla, 86 of Ewa Beach, Hawai’i, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family
Born on December 27, 1938, Andrea was the eldest of her siblings. She is survived by her sister Janice Smith and was preceded in death by her brother Donald Robb. As the matriarch of her family, she led with love, strength, and quiet grace.
She was the devoted wife of the late Louis G. Cabanilla, and together they raised a family built on strong values and deep connection. Andrea is survived by her five children. Marlene Padilla, Nobleen Keaulana (Brian), Lois Medeiros (Yancy), Lance Cabanilla (Melissa) and Raina Terukina (Darryl). Her legacy continues through her 18 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, all of whom she adored.
Andrea retired from Sky Chef after a career marked by hard work and dedication. In retirement, she devoted herself fully to her family, never missing a moment to cheer on her grandchildren. Whether watching from the sidelines or tuning in on television, she was one of their biggest fans – always offering support, lots of prayers and pride in their pursuits, whether it was MMA, softball, surfing, soccer, football or wrestling.
She also found great joy in her friendships and was an active member of her faith community. Andrea attended Fisher’s of Men Ministries, where she participated in Bible studies and cherished the fellowship of her church family. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, providing strength and comfort through all seasons.
Andrea’s love, laughter, and unwavering presence will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Her spirit lives on in all who were fortunate enough to know her.
