Aurelio was born in Dingras, Ilocos Norte in the Philippines. Son of Maria and Terso Bernardino. He came to Hawaii at the age of 8 years old. Aurelio graduated from Waianae High School. Soon after, enlisted in the United States Navy. While serving in the Navy, he met his wife Susan and had 2 children. After serving full time in the Navy, he transitioned to his full time job at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard. He retired after serving 35 years in Civil Service. During his retirement, his hobbies were listening to music, taking care of his racing pigeons, and enjoying time with his grandsons.
Loving husband, father, and grandfather. Survived by his wife Susan, son Aurelio Jr,, daughter Kimberly (Travis) Kameoka, 2 grandchildren, Tyson and Tanner Kameoka.
