Please join us in mourning the loss, while also celebrating the life of Betty Kikue Katsura Mundon. She went quietly into the night and left us on November 15, 2023, at her home and amongst her loved ones, in Kāneʻohe, Hawai’i at the age of 86. She is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years, William K. Mundon, 89. She also leaves behind her treasured children William K. Mundon II, Melissa Mundon Pringle, Maile Mundon, and Melanie Mundon [Lisa Mundon].
Born in Kahuku and raised in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi, she was a proud graduate of McKinley High School, class of 1955, where she and her “piggie” friends still remained close. Affectionately known as “Grandma Mundon,” she has passed on her gifts of hard work, crocheting, cooking, and speaking Japanese to her grandchildren Brandon Pringle, Malia Pringle, Madeleine Mundon, and Liam Mundon.
