

Claybourn L. Pait Sr. was born to the late Eugene Pait and Sarah Pait of Bladenboro, NC. He had 3 bothers, Bobby, Kirby, George. Living sister Joyce. He is survived by his loving wife Patricia (Pat). Three children, Claybourn L. Pait, Jr., Sharon E. White, Darryn W. Pait. Grandchildren, Sky, Miguel Angel, Maikalanimai, Danielle, Nicholas, Brendan, and Sage. Great grandchildren: Kahanu La’i, Kaumana, Kipola, Kyah, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Claybourn was a very loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
He enjoyed the outdoors, the sea, hunting, sailing on the open sea, and fishing, flying, traveling, and music. He passed down these skills to his children and grandchildren. He loved the Word of God the B-I-B-L-E (Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth). You could find him in his office studying and praying. He participated in Trapshooting where he was a part of the Amateur Trapshooting Association of America. He graduated from Clarkton Highschool in North Carolina. He joined the United States Coast Guard in August 1957. While in the Coast Guard he continued his education in Electronic and Engineering and Graduated from his courses he took at the Kaua’i Training Facility. He met his life partner, soulmate his wife who is from Kaua’i on a blind date whom he decided to marry. He also graduated, from the Electronics Institute of Hawaii, Realtors Institute, various non-credit courses in finance and self -development at UH Manoa. He volunteered for the USCG Auxiliary, Division Captain on Oahu responsible for Seven Flotillas (each flotilla has approx. four boats and fifteen personnel) and four aircrafts. He was a Qualified Coxswain (Boat Captain) and Certified Two-Way Radio Operator. Living life to the fullest, always, learning something new, enjoying family time was very near and dear to his heart.
