62, of Kailua, Hawaii, peacefully passed away at home on August 8, 2026.
Colin was raised in Waimanalo and graduated high school at Damien Memorial School. He worked for American Piping and Boiler Co. (APB) for over 20 years, working his way up to
General Superintendent. He was raised Catholic and attended St. George Church in Waimanalo with his family.
Colin worked in the construction field for over 40 years, getting a variety of certifications. Colin’s laid-back, can-do attitude brought happiness to all those he worked with. He worked as an ironworker for over 20 years, fabricating structural metalwork. After switching to APB in 2001, he worked as a Superintendent, eventually being promoted to General Superintendent. He designed various buildings and structural plans for the projects at APB.
As a family man, Colin spent time raising his two children with his wife, Geri. Whether it was walking the dog with his wife or cheering on his children at their swim meets, Colin made sure to be there for all of it. Colin took his family on vacations to the continental United States where they spent quality time together at theme parks. He was always joyful and happy in everything he did.
Colin is survived by his daughter, Jamie, son, Nicholas, and sister Deborah (Dallas) Grady. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Mary Lacno, and siblings, Michael, Gary and Nina.
