Dan was born in Honolulu,Hawaii on April 20, 1938. He was predeceased by his wife Helene Maiki Epstein as well as his son, Michael Kaniela Epstein. He is survived by his daughters, Helene Maiki Kiehn, and Danette Kuunanipauole Beams, 8 grandchildren, and 27 great grandchildren. He was loved by many who knew him also known as “Dan” and “Uncle Danny”
