Dominic had a long career working for Hawaiian Airlines for nearly 37 years, as well as many years working simultaneously at American Airlines before retiring from there.
Dominic enjoyed spending countless hours at the beach. Whether he was fishing, watching the waves, or attempting to body surf. He always found a way to enjoy himself. Dominic also enjoyed listening and playing Hawaiian music. He would regularly take out his ukulele or guitar and try to strum a few chords before wrapping it up again until its next big appearance. Dominic was also a huge believer that everything was a collectible growing up. We are still going through his collection in awe of his fascination with baseball cards, McDonald’s toys, record albums, hot wheels, and model cars.
Dominic is survived by wife of nearly 40 years, Barbara Ann Bareng, and son Christopher Aaron Bareng and daughter Lindsey Dean Bareng, and his fur babies, Albert, Mija, Minnie, and Mele.
Dominic will always be remembered as a loving, humbled, and strong husband/father to his family. We will always cherish and never forget the wonderful memories he has given us.
