

Edwin Kingo Hosaka, age 85, of Pearl City, HI, passed away peacefully in Mililani on Friday, August 23, 2019, surrounded by his loved ones. Win was born on March 15, 1934 in Honolulu. He was the son of Yaichiro and Alice (Tomita) Hosaka. He was a proud graduate of Farrington High School, Class of ’53 and retired as an Upholsterer with C.S. Wo & Sons.
Edwin, known by many as “Win”, was very active with the Pearl City High School Band and the Farrington Alumni and Community Foundation. He was best known for his cheerful disposition, his service to the community and his woodwork creations. Win loved traveling the world. He visited foreign countries, US National Parks & Monuments with family and friends.
Win is survived by his wife, Karen Okumura Hosaka; daughters Tracy (Carl) Ogata, Terry (Patrick) Ku; son Tod (Nicole) Hosaka; 7 grandchildren (Kimo, Kamaka, Kawika, Carlson, Tehani, Tewai and Temakana); brothers Stanley (Marjorie) Hosaka and Kenneth (Evelyn) Hosaka.
Visitation will be held at 10:00 am Friday, September 20, 2019, followed by the Memorial service at 11:00 am in the Hawaiian Memorial Park Glass Chapel, 45-425 Kamehameha Hwy, Kaneohe. Casual attire.
