She passed away on June 9, 2026, in her home, surrounded by the love of her family. Born in Leyte, Philippines, she immigrated to Hawaiʻi in 1976. She lived a life rooted in faith, love, aloha, and devotion to her family and community.
She is survived by her children, Angelina Suga (Royce) and her hānai daughter, Nani Brown. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Tyler, Brianna, Ashlynn, Rylen, Nova, and Liiv, who will carry her memory forward with love, gratitude, and the aloha she instilled in them. She is also survived by her sister, Rosario Salado, of the Philippines. She was preceded in death by her husband, Primitivo Salaum.
