We shared many memories, my braddah. Before, college, career, marriage and kids, we was just 2 braddahs coming up from Waimea HS. I remembered it like yesterday, you stay grumbo about driving to Lihue from Kekaha to work Burger King, driving the Grey truck, to the days we wen go night diving with Ryan and almost got lost in the ocean by Koloa... lol.. When u Kerry and Suzanne came Seattle to visit me, cramped in my small honda... lol when u come back home and we eat like kings and Dan's and wifes gourmet cooking. To star wars, Heald  College, den to OR.  We came visit you and Karen, Emily and Braedon, when they were still babies. Still remembah the pork bbq ribs you wen cook, solid. We shared many conversations. You was a good, kind, calming, jovial, easy going, relaxed braddah, always helping. I will remember you, and your laugh and always calling me, ' eh, Fudge...' Till we meet again. Jesus promised us eternal life, so I no worry, cause I gon see you again. The Bible say: 

1 1Thessalonians 4 13-18;  that you only stay asleep and Jesus will rise up the dead in Christ and we who are alive will be caught up together  to meet our Lord in the Air.

I worked with Eli on the AMHS team at intel for several years. He was a great coworker and a good friend.  He was a hard worker and he was a great person to have on your team. He helped train me in AMHS when I started on the S7 team. He showed me all of the photos of his sabbatical that he spent with his family in Japan. We always talked about the videogames that he was playing with his kids, especially Zero Horizon Dawn. He was really proud of his family and was looking forward to his kids going to college soon. I remember he was driving all over the country for his kids gymnastics meets. I was really sorry to hear that he passed away. Our team at Intel isn't the same without him.

Eli truly loved his family, remembering our last conversation in December which was about him getting ready to teach his daughter how to drive. He was excited and nervous at the same time. But he had confidence that she would do well and was looking forward to riding in the passenger seat while his baby girl drove him around town. His sheer existence was for his family. He was a hardworking yet laid back soul. From the times I got to engage with Eli he never let much get to him. I learned from those encounter and tried to begin adapting some of the same qualities. In addition, he was a vital part to the AMHS team here at Intel and has definitely been missed. My condolences to the family on this sudden change in your lives. Rest Easy Eli we know you are looking down on all of us.

Thank you, Mike and Jolene Sakaino, for hosting our last gathering together with Eli and the Cadavona family. We remember Eli’s mochiko chicken as the star of the show. He was so proud sharing his sister’s recipe with everyone. It was delicious! 

Sister Cadavona - our Oregon Ohana haven't met you yet, but we're already connected across the Pacific Ocean through Eli sharing your local kine grindz! So many families moved from Hawaii to Oregon after attending Heald College with Eli, and we all had the blessing of having dinner with Eli, Karen, and the kids just weeks before Eli passed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the Cadavona Hawaii family.

Lastly, our hearts go out to Karen and the children. We were so proud to see Emily at the Mountainside High School graduation this month. Emily was recognized with countless achievement awards, scholarships, and graduation cords. She was called on stage and recognized by the Mountainside High Staff more than any other student in attendance. I'm sure Eli was watching from above, and he is so PROUD!
