Erlinda “Linda/Ellen” Batol Sapungay passed away July 31, 2026, age 80. Born March 1, 1946, in Bagac, Bataan, she was the second oldest of nine siblings born to Felicisima and Vivencio. She later found her husband, Salvador, and together they created a family of five.
Linda was a humble, hardworking, independent, and kind woman whose life centered on caring for others. She was the ultimate caretaker—always showing up and making sure everyone was cared for before herself. An amazing cook, she prepared meals for family, neighbors, and anyone needing a plate. Her food, humor, strength, and kindness brought people together.
Linda is survived by daughter Elizabeth; 7 grandchildren; and siblings Imelda, Estrellita, Lilia, Teddy, and Marietta; and extended family and friends. She joins her husband Salvador, daughter Mercedita, and son Harold in peace. Her love and memories will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
A service will be held September 11, 2026, at 4 p.m. at Hawaiian Memorial in Kaneohe.
