Kulani Arthur Gumapac Hamakua, born on October 27, 1969, in Honolulu, Hawaii, passed away on December 13, 2025, at the age of 56. Kulani was a resident of Ewa Beach, Hawaii, but was originally from beloved Waimanalo.
He is survived by his mother, Joenetta "Cookie" Hamakua, his aunty, Keahi Kapahu (Butch), and his uncle, Kale Gumapac. Kulani also is survived by his loving cousins and his many beautiful nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on January 30, 2026, at 9:30 am at the Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery & Funeral Services, located at 45-425 Kamehameha Highway, Kaneohe, Hawaii, 96744. This will be followed by a Celebration of Life Service at the same venue, commencing at 10:30 am. The burial will take place at 1:00 pm at the Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery.
Kulani will be remembered for his cherished presence and the lasting impact he had on those around him.
