Leland Kenui Lishman, 61, of Kailua, Hawaii, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2022 in Kailua, HI. Leland was born October 7, 1961 in Honolulu, HI. Leland is survived by parents Thomas and Rochelle Lishman, brothers Tracy (Laura) and Kyle (Wendi), sister Gayle (William), nephew Cheynne (Karina), nieces Alyssa Uilani (Luke) and Dallas Hana (Peter) and grandnephew Kia’ipono.
Leland graduated from The Kamehameha Schools, Class of 1979, attended DeVry Institute of Technology in Phoenix, AZ, served in the U.S. Army and worked as a handyman sharing his wide range of talent. Leland was a devoted sports fanatic and enjoyed bodysurfing from Makapu’u Beach to Pipeline and many spots in between. He also appreciated reading and sharing stories, especially historical events, and led a simple life with incredible kindness, gratitude and appreciation towards humans and animals alike. Leland will be missed immensely and will remain forever in our hearts.
