A graduate of Kamehameha Schools and UH Mānoa, Michael spent most of his life helping others as a Substance Abuse Counselor. He found his greatest joy in riding horses, tending to his yard, cooking, spending days at the beach, and cherishing time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Debra; his children, Pono, Kealani, and Lilinoe; his three grandsons, Iokua, Kahoʻomalu, and Kawaihonua; his mother, Ann; and his brothers, Scott (Derrick) and Mark.
