Miu Lan Keala Oman, age 75, of Kaneohe, Hawaii, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2026, at Castle Hospital, surrounded by her children. Born on February 22, 1951, Lihue, Kauai, she was the daughter of Richard Kaaumoana and Jennie Santos.
Miu Lan graduated from Kalani High School in 1969 and went on to build a life marked by devotion, faith, and adventure. She worked as a secretary for law firms and Kamehameha Schools, where her steady presence and dependable nature were valued by those around her. She married David Oman in 1972, and together they shared many years surrounded by family.
She will be remembered as kind, generous, and resilient, with a warm spirit that made people feel cared for. Miu Lan treasured her family and friends deeply, always remembering birthdays and making time for the people she loved. She was especially happy to go out, particularly when food was involved, and enjoyed simple pleasures such as doing puzzles and watching game shows or Asian dramas.
A woman of faith and community service, Miu Lan lived with a thoughtful heart and a giving nature. She is survived by her children, David Huli Oman and Karen Alamida; and her five grandchildren, Kaitlin Alamida, Kyla Alamida, Aukai Oman, Kawena Oman, and Brooklynn Oman.
Services will be held on July 30, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at 46-117 Halaulani St., Kaneohe, HI, 96744.
