Will miss Keala, (Patricia). Friend, tennis partner, Delta Co-worker, a true Hawaiian spirt that will live forever in my heart.

I am thinking of you today Keala, I miss you a lot, and I am grateful that we were friends. When I am full of anxiety I think of you and it helps me to be calm. I really think you were an angel on earth.  I know I have felt your presence even though we are worlds apart. Who knows, maybe we have been friends many times over! ❤️

It was a nice burial service.  Pat was laid to rest in a beautiful white casket in the beautiful Hawaiian Memorial Park with the Koolau Mountains as the back drop.  It was nice meeting her sister Jill.  Please know there are so many others in the tennis league that Pat was involved with that are just starting to know of Pat's passing; they are still grappling with her absence.  She will always be fondly remembered.  

I worked and played with Kiala for over ten years.  She was so caring and generous and kind.  A true gentle spirit  who really cared for people.
May she Rest In Peace in Heaven💕


There is one memory that I know always made Keala laugh.  Her and I were floating  in the water on a board in Hawaii.  When from a distance I noticed, what I thought to be an elderly bald man coming closer to us.  Then we both realized it was a turtle.  Because I had heard when young if a turtle bites you he would not let go,  as he got closer I could NOT get out the water fast enough.  Keala tried to convince me to stay and it would all be okay but I had go, but I had to go.  Meanwhile, Keala was calling me and laughing.  She never let me forget that day.  We had so much fun.  She will truly be missed.  

My sweet and beautiful, Keala.  How I miss you.  Yesterday, I woke up to the most beautiful sunrise and weather.  Hawaii clouds, beautiful orange and yellow sky with a light trade blowing the palm trees.  I’ve never seen a morning like this in 30 years of living in the desert.  To me, this was a gift from you letting me know you’re okay and at peace.

I miss you so much.  I miss our tennis and many adventures to Hawaii.  You taught me about the aloha spirit and to find a more relaxed state of being.  I am forever grateful for you being such an amazing friend.

I love you my dear, Keala.  Until we meet again.

To the Family of Patricia Keala O'Grady:  Pat  was like a sister to me and always told me she has my back.  For years, I was her double's partner on a  tennis team.  We played a lot of tennis.  She had a way of bringing people together.  She will be terribly missed.
